    1. Re: [NYOnonda] Obituary Lookup Onondaga County Public Library HELP
    2. Hi Pam I answered your first request on March 23rd. That is only 1 week ago. I have found that I have waited to receive a reply from a Library or Archive far longer than 1 week. Many Libraries and Archives are operating with the help of PT volunteers and on low budgets. It also takes time to do the research and also these archives and Libraries receive many requests from other researches and try to do them in the order received. . Even if you go to a Library in person, you must pay for copies. Many times we do not find everything we want in one source, so we go on and seek another source for the information. It sometimes can take several years to uncover one piece of information. You mention you do not need the Death Certificates and that surprises me. That would be the first document that I would seek. Have you considered writing to the funeral homes in the area where they were buried? Where did you get the information that they were buried in RI? Is that person living or was that from a newspaper article? Have you checked the church records or written to the church they attended. Churches Records are an excellent source of information. Perhaps there are other sources that you could uncover information from that you have not searched yet. Regards Pat R
