Scott, I have researched the 1835 census for Onondaga Co. I obtained it as a loan through a local Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is also a copy available in Syracuse, but the Albany State Library does not have anything before 1855 for Onondaga Co. Go to http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/genealogy/nyscens.htm to see the ones available in Albany.
