    1. Baldwinsville - Catholic Church early ca 1840 - French Canadian

    3. I am seeking any information on where Anthony(Antoine) Robert(s) of Baldwinsville is buried. This family seems to have arrived ca. 1840 or so. This Roberts family seems to have had its roots at Montreal and Anthony is the son of Francois Roberts. Was there a Catholic Church at Baldwinsville - a grave yard ? did they travel to church anywhere near the place at that time. I am descended from John Robert(s) b. 1809 Canada - he married a Dutch girl named Margaret Schermerorn and had children starting abt 1840. This seems to be a religiously mixed household. Not sure how well that went over at the time. According to the 1855 census take the older children were born in Onondaga and by 1850 they had moved to Volney, Oswego and then Fulton. I suspect that Anthony and John Roberts might be related both being close in proximity - both on the barge canal - both being French Canadian And having children abt the same time. John Roberts died post 1870 at Fulton - his wife is buiried at Mt Adnah Cem but not John - had wondered if he might be buried with his people over at Baldwinsville or Lysander. Any help or ideas would be of interest. Jack Hanover,Pa
