    3. Danel, Can you scan the town name and paste in the body of the message to send along for us to view? This could be Dewitt. Sometimes the "D" is not fully closed and looks like an "L". The "w" could be mistaken for an old lower case "r". And so on . . . with the rest of the name. What time period is this from? If it's before 1835, chances are it is NOT Dewitt since it seems that town was formed from Manlius in that year, which makes my reasoning a moot point. The old writing can be difficult to decipher at times. Best of Luck!     3. Kerry, That won't work. Rootsweb will not allow attachments. Better would be to place on the message board, assuming it is gatewayed to the mailing list; an attachment CAN be uploaded to a message board.
