Thanks Connie, but at the moment, it doesn't appear that the families are connected. They may eventually be... by going back far enough, so I will never say no. Here's a bit more information on this Blanchard Family. George Blanchard married Mary Cramer sometime prior to their son John Blanchard's birth about December 1883. Mary was born about December 1862. I have no information on George... yet. But he appears to be dead by 1900. John appears to be an only child In 1900 Census, Mary & John live at 765 Bleeker St, Utica Wd 8. They live with Michael Tapley (Oct. 1872), Teresa (Apr 1873), Harold (Nov 1877)and James Cramer (Aug 1864). Seems like Mary, Teresa and James are siblings. 1910, they moved to 4 Waite Ave in Watertown, 5th Wd. the Tapley's added Rosemary in 1901 & Charles P in 1906. James Cramer did not appear to live with them at this point. 1920, John P. Blanchard moved to 27 Hawley St in Oswego, 5th Wd, with his Mother Mary, and is now married to Agnes Cahill (born Feb 1896), Herbert (age 9), who is listed as a son, but I was told he was actually just a boy he had live with him, and son Charles J who was 8/12 yrs. old. In 1930, John P Blanchard lived in Syracuse, 4th Wd, 224 N Midler Ave. At this point John, Agnes, Charles, Rosemary & Winifred are listed. Herbert is not there and Mary isn't either. Not sure what happened to them. When Mary died about 1939, she was buried in Watertown. John died May 20, 1950 and is buried in St, Mary's Cemetery in Minoa with his wife Agnes. Hope that helps some & any information on missing people like George Blanchard, Herbert ??, The Tapley's, James Cramer and Mary's parents, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Anne Also, John's Marriage Certificate stated that this was his second marriage (August 15, 1918) and that his former wife was dead. I'm curious as to who the first wife was and where they were married. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
