Skaneateles (NY) Press Friday, 15 July 1949 Eugene O'Dell, Long a Resident, Dies in 88th Year Eugene O'Dell, 87, of Fennell St. died last Wednesday (July 13, 1949) at his home, 15 Fennell St. after a long illness. Born in Freeville, October 12, 1861, he has lived here practically all of his life. He is a former employee of William G. Stuart and Tallcot Mining Co. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Raymond A. Welch, Fennell St., three grandsons, John, Frederick and Howard Welch, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m. from the late residence Fennell St., with the Rev. George W. Dolch, pastor, First Methodist Church, officiating. Bearers will be Raymond Kew, Kelsey Oakley, Arthur Foster, and Leslie Murphy. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn. ======================= Eugene was the youngest brother of my great-grandmother Mary Elizabeth (Odell) Hart.
