On the 1870 Census for Syracuse, Ward 4, Dwelling No. 142, there are two families living there, one (No. 181) headed by Michael Heitz, the other (No. 182) by (Christian) Fried. Behr, who was my GGGGrandfather. I notice that Behr and Heitz were both brewers, and the disparity of assets ($20,000 real estate and $15,000 personal assets for Heitz, $300 for Behr), which leads me to suspect that Heitz was Behr's boss and landlord.
