Hi Shannon My Son just came back up to Cape Vincent from Camillus and I asked him where the Boys caught all the fish last Monday on their fishing trip. They got a huge catch and he told me they caught all of them over off Stony Island. I usually don't go until later as the water is still a little rough for me. So that makes me think that perhaps your Grandmother, Grandfather or someone in your immediate family were fisherman. Fishing was even better in those days. Perhaps someone in your immediate family owned a Cottage (that is what they were called years ago) or perhaps had a Dairy farm (many in the area at that time) close to the Lake. Could have been either her maternal or paternal Grandparents were from this locality. One of the big advantages of living here in Cape Vincent is we have both Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence River for fishing. We are where the River and Lake meet. The boys were fishing down off Pt Peninsula last weekend, Pat R
