Just in case you Onondaga county researchers don't know about this, here is an update. Our good friend Bill Hecht, famous for posting images on-line, completely scanned the 1860 Onondaga Co. wall map, town by town, and put it all up on the Cayuga County GenWeb site at http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Enycayuga/<http://www.rootsweb.com/%257Enycayuga/> Many researchers are familiar with the County Atlas books, (Onondaga 1874,) and some of you do not know that there were earlier maps made that show all of the houses of your ancestors. This one is in full original color and in quite good condition. Bill is one of those giving individuals that constantly posts items to the Central NY message board, and others. He uses his own time and money to scour out these fabulous items and put them out where researchers can utilize them.
