    2. I am searching for information about my gr-gr-gr-grandmother and her descendents\ The 1880 Federal Census lists Mary Woodlock, MotherL, 70, b. Ireland living in Syracuse with her son-in-law and daughter, John CAROLL, 40, b. IRE Laborer, and Margaret CAROLL, 35, b. IRE and their sons John CAROLL, 17, IRE Laborer, Edmond CAROLL, 11, ENG School Richard CAROLL, 8, NY School, and Patrick CAROLL, 2, NY The Carrolls apparently emigrated from England abt 1870 but I could not find them on the CastleGarden web site. Also on the 1880 Federal Census are the son of MARY WOODLOCK, DANIEL WOODLOCK and his family. My gr-gr-grandparents, DANIEL WOODLOCK, born 1840 in Ireland and died August 29, 1919 Syracuse, and ALICE FOGARTY, born 1839 in Ireland and died Bef. 1919 in Syracuse, were buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery. According to the CastleGarden site, they emigrated from England in 1869 on the ship Neptune with their children Mary, my gr-grandmother, age 6, and William, age 4. They lived at 206 Apple Street, Syr. Daniel Woodlock's obituary - Syracuse Herald. August 29, 1919 In this city, August 29, 1919 DANIEL WOODLOCK. He is survived by two sons William and Thomas and five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Godkin, Mrs. Thomas Brock, Mrs. Catherine Hammond, Mrs. James O'Connell and Mrs. Albert Klapetzky. Funeral from the home of his daughter Mrs. James O'Connell, 1054 West Belden Avenue, Monday morning at 9 o'clock and at St. John the Evangelist Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery. :Children of DANIEL WOODLOCK and ALICE FOGARTY are: MARY (my gr-grandmother) b. 1863, England; d.1884,Syracuse., WILLIAM ,b. England, 1865, The other children were born in Syracuse: MARGARET, b.1870 . THOMAS b. Syracuse 1872, .ALICE, b. 1877 and CATHERINE, b. 1879. In the 1880 Census MARY WOODLOCK, 17, is listed as a servant at the Vanderbilt Hotel which was located at the corner of Warren and Washington Streets. She married JOHN JOSEPH FRANEY Abt. 1883 in Syracuse son of JOHN FRANEY and JULIA O'BRIEN. They lived on Richmond Ave. He was born Abt. 1865 in Ireland and died November 10, 1930 in Syracuse, New York According to family lore, MARY WOODLOCK:died giving birth to daug! hter (a nd my grandmother) Julia Frances Franey in 1884. I can find no other records for either Mary Woodlock No record of mariage at OCPL. No record of burial at St. Joseph or St. Agnes Cemeteries. John Franey is buried at St. Agnes with second wife Delia Conley. Kay Timmons
