I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as "Grandma BALCOM" which was taken at the I. U. Doust Studio in Syracuse, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with the woman in the photograph likely in her 30's or 40's at the time it was taken. I'm hoping to locate someone from her family so that this beautiful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family.
