Dear Rick: Is there anything in the book History of Onondaga County about Jonas P. Ellis? Thanks. Jayne _perllan987@aol.com_ (mailto:perllan987@aol.com) In a message dated 7/25/2007 11:42:45 P.M. "several Congregational, Presbyterian and Baptist Societies were organized in the town of Manlius during the years from 1789 to 1803." Christ Church (Episcopalian) was orgnaized in 1804 and the building was erected in 1813. Trinity Presbyterian Church of Manlius was formed in 1815 and the building was erected in 1819. First Methodist Episcopal Church of Manilus was built in 1822. Baptist Churches were among the earliest in the town of Manlius, but no edifice was erected in the village till 1828. In 1813 an organization was formed under the name of the "Pompey and Manlius Baptist Church" Those were in the village of Manilus. There were also churches in the village of Fayettevile , Kirkville and the Eagle Village that are in the Town of Manilus, though these seem to have been later. I did not see any references to the surnames of Rowe and Stillwell. Rick Bova ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
