    3. Unfortunately, the book is too big and doesn't have an index of names. If you know a town or village, I can peruse that section for you. The time frame is usually from the start of the particular area to 1878. As with anything the chances are finding a person is greater the earlier the year. For the City of Syracuse, the population was 250 in 1820. By 1850 it was 5000. And as with any query, the more information the better. Spouse or children names. Years.
