Just had another thought. You might want to get in touch with whoever the current town historian is for Manlius, It used to be Barbara Rivette, but you should be able to Google it. They might have some ideas or know of some unpublished original records. PERSI also indexes "Tree Talks" the journal of the Central New York Genealogical Society.
