I neglected to share some very vital information in my first posting regarding this family: dates! William Nettleton and Esther were in Pompey, NY by 1796 when their son Ozias was born. They may have married in NY or perhaps elsewhere. William d. in 1834; Ester d. 1831; both died at Manlius, NY. Their son Ozias and his wife Salley (KNOWLTON) were married in 1817 (place still unknown) and both died in 1842 at Manlius. They had 12 children, the last one born in 1834 and all were born at Manlius. These children then began the westward move, part II. Our line Charles Robert Nettleton was in Versailles IN by 1852, where he married and have 3 children and in Fremont MN by 1858. I have the applicable census for all the direct line families from 1800 to MN 1885 (Charles d. 1892 in MN). I had written to the county several years ago requesting a death certificate, but they said they did not have records for that time frame. DI, I appreciate your suggestions of the Church records (I didn't know about the church until I saw the cememtery site on the Web last week) and also the local history dept at the library. I have not tried them yet - great idea - thanks. Would still like to connect with someone researching this family. Linda
