Still looking for info on Jeremiah Holmes. He appeared in the Onondaga Co, 1825 Census in the town of Salina. I do not have the actual source. He was born in Herkimer Co, NY around 1800.. Marr Laura Smith. One of their children was Laura A Holmes, who married a MARSH. Rumor has it his father was Ethland (Ethan?) Holmes. There was an Ethan Holmes in the 1810 and 1820 Herkimer Co, NY Census records. Any help with Ethan Holmes, his son Jeremiah, or any other related HOLMES info in Onondaga Co? Where would the town of Salina vital and land records be kept? or found? Any help is appreciated!
