My husband is descended from Asa Rudd who was born in Lysander, Onondaga Co. in 1832. We believe his father was Vincent Rudd who was living in Lysander in the 1830 census. Through other information I have gathered I think there is a possibility that Vincent was married to a Barnes girl. I found an Asa Barnes who died in Pompey. Is anyone researching this family or has anyone stumbled across the Rudd family in Onondaga Co.? The Rudds moved to Onondaga from Rutland Co., VT and before that they lived in CT. Most of the older children were married in Onondaga Co. David Rudd married Amy Hicks the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Butts)Hicks. Leonard Rudd married Sarah Depuy daughter of Benjamin and Ariaantie (VanAken)Depuy. Leonard was engaged in boating on the Erie Canal. Olive Rudd married Asa McDonald. Erastus Rudd married Harriet Hill. The Rudds eventually moved to Switzerland Co., IN and Will Co., IL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheryl Cretin Yuma, AZ
