Hi Russell Dear, The First Ward Methodist Church merged with Gethsemane United Methodist Church back in about the early 1970's as I recall (not sure of exact year). Gethsemane's address is 1700 Butternut St. Syracuse, NY 13208 Tel: 315-479-7971. If they don't have the records you're looking for, I suggest you try the North Central New York Methodist Conference at 8422 N. Main St., Cicero, NY 13039. Tel: 315-699-8715. I don't know if either of these places have email addresses or websites but you could search for them, I suppose. I believe the building on Bear Street is still standing. You've already had a response about the cemetary. This was a cemetary at the time of my youth on the northside and later converted to a park. Some of the folks from First Ward Methodist joined our church at the time of the merger. We also had a merged youth group and usually worshiped together a few times a year.
