I am trying to find the whereabouts of OLD FORT JOHNSON. While researching my JOHNSON family in New York, I began reading a book about Sir William Johnson and Fort Johnson: "Here Sir William lived for five years, when he moved into the large stone house at Akin which he called Mount Johnson until 1755, when the place was surrounded by a palisade and renamed Fort Johnson."
