Go to any CW reenactment, you'll find neat stuff at the different sutlers' tents. Sort of a traveling General Store.
I have many ancestors who may be in those records including MADIGANS, KINYONS, BROWNS, and ROODS. What years did you say are covered? And what do you need to look for a record? Brian Madigan Syracuse, NY
Hi Barbara, It would be great if you would like to post the Onondaga Vally Presbyterian Church Records here. I had ordered the microfilm from the FHL exactly just for the Early Records of the Valley Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, NY. On March 20, 1810 it was organized as the United Church of Onondaga Hollow and Salina, NY 1821 Second Presbyterian Church Onondaga, NY. Copied by Minnie L. C. Coleman, Syracuse, NY 1930. On the second page is states," This historic church burned in 1922. The records were saved and deposited with the Onondaga Historical Association. I just was able to go in and view it last night. I thought I'd just copy the records that were on there just in case I might need them later. There are 31 pages with an index. I wasn't sure if it was okay to post them on this site or not. Someone let me know what they think. (I'm not doing this for profit, just for help.) I anyone would like for me too look up any information for them please e-mail with your information at ahatch@theriver.com Barbara H

Hi, I want to second Lucie's request. I have an interest in Pompey NY especially the family of Olden' that lived there from before 1790. Theodore Olden b 1790 is my aim. Thanks to anyone that can get me started. Marlene
Hi, Listmembers.. I was up all night reading the wonderful Onondaga County pages and now have a pretty good idea of where my MILLERS lived. Is there an e-mail address for Cicero and Onondaga city Genealogy Societies? I'm hoping that they sell cemetery books, funeral home books, etc. (I have my plastic and I'm ready ) Also, thanks to all who told me the correct word is "SUTLER" and not, sulter. Also, are there any Jewish cemeteries in Onondaga? I didn't see any... Thanks for any help available, Regrds, Judy Goodwin
Could you please tell me if there is any mention of NOBLES or ROBB in the Valley Presbyterian Church records? Thank you. Verna Williams VWilli6432

Would anyone on the list have information on the settlement of Pompey, NY? I know that there was a large settlement there with a lot of people from Washington County. What year was it settled and what made them choose Pompey? Thanks in advance. Lucie jbaroudi@servtech.cpm

Am seeking any information regarding the Jacob LOTT and his wife Elizabeth (HOUGHTALING) who resided in or around Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY during the time interval of 1800-1828. They raised a family of several children and Peter did register his stock mark. I understand that the HOUGHTALING family was well known in that area during the same time period. Any assistance will be appreciated. Clarence Lott
