I agree with Sharon Garrett. Now that that is settled, let's leave this subject alone and get back to what the list is all about -- finding my ancestors :) Sandy F. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sharon Garrett" <skye523@webtv.net> To: <nyononda@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2007 2:56 PM Subject: Re: [NYONONDA] original thought abt leaving requests and answerson the list! >I feel very strongly that information should be asked and given on the >lists. I am trying to contact Robert Hillick whose last known address was in Fulton, New York, and whose email address was hillick@attglobal.net, but that bounced this morning. He is a distant cousin on the PHILLIPS family line and I have new information to share with him. Thank you, Sally Bailey fbsb@earthlink.net
Jeannette: I would be happy to have the obits on the "L" group of this list, particularly Lauer/Loehr/Lohe/Lohr. My ancestor's surname was spelled Lauer, Lohr, Louer, Lower etc etc and she has been my brickwall for a very long time. I appreciate any info you can pass on. Thank you so much for offering to do so much for so many. Delphi Falls is a hamlet in the south east corner of Onondaga Co. in the Town of Pompey. It is near the border of Madison Co. There is a four corners in Delphi Falls and the Baptist Church cemetery is right in the hamlet just North of the four corners a few houses. It was part of the Baptist Church grounds. Delphi Falls was originally named Delphi, but because mail "back in the day" was so often sent to Delhi, NY instead of Delphi, NY and vice versa, the Falls was added to the hamlets name. If you have an historic map this may be why you can't locate it. Hope this helps. Sharon

I am sorry that you got caught in this mess... I hope you feel better now knowing that you did nothing wrong... we can all be led astray by idiots disguised as know it alls - right! Gary! Until you wrote that message I thought it was my laptop or poss a software issue! I have been so frustrated by it! Thanks for saying something to clue me in. How did you know? And what do you think is the likelihood the Admin will change it to MIME esp. since too many people put unwarranted stock in AOL....? -----Original Message----- From: Gary Welch [mailto: gcwelch@frontiernet.net March 07, 2007 11:41 PM To: nyononda@rootsweb.com Re: Digest Mode Please! I would also suggest that anyone getting the digest mode also send an email to the list administrator to change the format to MIME. With MIME each message arrives as a separate attachment, which makes replying much easier. For some reason, subscribers can't make the change themselves. Before the change in the mail list system a few months ago, MIME was the default. Some email systems (e.g. AOL) don't support MIME The person who originally asked the question has a Yahoo email address, I'm not sure if they support MIME. -----Original Message----- From: Jeanette M Otis [mailto:obstinatesnooper@gmail.com] Wednesday, March 07, 2007 3:25 PM To: nyononda@rootsweb.com Re: Digest Mode Please!
