My guess is New York to Utica by train (Amtrak) would be about 4 hours since Buffalo to New York is 8 or 9 hours and Utica is about half way across the state. The train doesn't run every day of the week either. You couldn't get there and back in a day and still have much time to research. One way to cover a lot of research ground to plan productive research trip is to check the Oneida County Packet for pre-1860 data of birth, marriage & death record alternatives. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nycnygs ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Andrle" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, June 25, 2003 10:48 PM Subject: Re: [NYONEIDA-L] Utica & Frankfort NY > My guess is New York to Utica by train (Amtrak) would be about 4 hours since > Buffalo to New York is 8 or 9 hours and Utica is about half way across the > state.
