COON) 35, TAKEN BY DEATH, Well Known Resident of This City Succumbs at William Street Home Ray G. Coon, 35, World War veteran and long a resident of this city, died at 10 o'clock this morning at his home at 411 William street after an illness of three weeks. He had been in poor health for several years. Mr. Coon was born in Sangerfield, October 23, 1895 He was a son of the late Edgar O. and Ida E. Coon. His mother passed away six months ago. He was a graduate of the Rome Free Academy with the class of 1916. During the war he served on a navy hospital ship. He attended the First Baptist Church here. Mr. Coon was a member of the Masonic fraternity and of the Rome Free Academy Alumni Association. He leaves a brother, Ory D. Coon, in Auburn. Thursday, December 3 1931, in this city, George Henry Stephens, aged 71 years.
