As you can see this was posted on the New London Conn. list. The site has many sets of postcards from upstate N.Y. including Utica and two sets of Trenton Falls. I was just browsing around the Internet and found the Robert Dennis Collection of stereoviews. It's a huge collection of northeastern stereoviews, and it has a section for "New London, Tolland and Windham counties". I tried using the search engine, but the drop down menu was easier to navigate. There also are a good many specific towns, such as Hartford. I'm still a big fan of hand colored vintage postcards, but there is something intriguing about stereoviews. For one thing, they are 3-D views of landscapes our ancestors may have seen, and most are older than the oldest view postcard. Here's the link to the "browse" page: http://digital.nypl.org/dennis/stereoviews/browse.html ______________________________ ------- End of forwarded message -------
