I am looking for a DECKER family from the Deerfield, Oneida NY area c. 1850-80. Particularly the family Of Jean Pierre and Mary DECKER . Could someone please tell me which Catholic church would have been in the Deerfield Oneida NY area from about 1855-1890. I found a Mary Decker living with a John Schilz ( her son in law) family in the 1880 NY Deerfield , Oneida NY census. I have located the DECKER family in the 1850 Oneida Deerfield NY census also. My great great grandmother was Isabella Decker Schlegel (1832- 1882) of Erie CO. Lancaster NY and I have reason to believe that this is her. She married Joseph Schlegel in abt. 1855 .
