The History of the Town of Paris page 136 lists Ralph Edwards as an early settler in the east part of town. His son(?) Ira is listed as an early shop keeper. Can any one tell me if there is a Historian who would have early records for this area? Perhaps a Historical Society? Can anyone tell me if records for that early period have survived? I am looking for the August 1823 of my Gr. Gr. Grandparents Anna Edwards and Thomas Falconer, Mary Edwards married George Kilpatrick in 1830, and Ralph died in May of 1854. I would be grateful for any help that you could give me. Merle, Uxbridge, Ontario.
Bruce: You can contact the Oneida County Historical Society, 1608 Genessee Street, Utica, NY 13502, (315) 735-3641, e-mail: [email protected] They should be able to help you or know who has the information you are seeking.
