    2. I've seen the name Beebe on the various lists and found this in an old notebook of newspaper clippings. Probably from the Rome Sentinel and, insofar as I can tell, it is dated 1930. His son, Sidney, was an uncle thru marriage. G. M. Freeman Felix Qui Nihil Debet Breaks Hip in Fall Oneida March 19.-The Rev. William T. Beebe of Oneida Valley fell in a lot while seeking to corral s neighbor's horse yesterday afternoon and suffered a broken hip. Mrs. Harry Avery heard the minister's cries and went to his aid. Mr. Beebe was Oneida Valley pastor when the church in that hamlet was active, Later he preached in Methodist churches in rural communities. Oneida Valley WILLIAM T. Beebe DIES AT AGE OF 83 - Oneida Valley, April 3-A former principal of Lee Center Union School, the Rev.. William Townsend Beebe, 83 of Oneida Valley, died yesterday after a brief illness. Since giving up his teaching and ministerial career Mr. Beebe settled in Oneida Valley. He started a teaching career, but early in life switched to the ministerial profession although he never attended a college. He was perhaps the best known man in the Oneida lake region. He taught in district schools at Whilelaw, South Bay and Oneida Valley, then after he became a minister he preached in the same communities He was a Methodist supply pastor, but he often conducted services in the Presbyterian churches. He was educated in the OneidaSeminary and Whitestown Seminary. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Laura Wilson, South Bay, and Miss Maude Beebe, at home; one son. Sidney M.
