Hi, I am wondering if you are from the same Scofield family that did photography in Utica in the 19th century and more? My wife's great-great grandmother was from Utica, Helen Boes, and had her portrait taken, very nicely I must say, as a teenager, probably in 1880's. I am a member of the [email protected] list and a lady recently wrote that she came across a bunch of old family photos taken by Utica photographers, ca 1900, and wondered if anyone new of any records that may have been kept all these years to help id the photos and re-unite with their present families.
