I have learned that John Brydon and his wife Jane Crosby and their two known sons, William Alfred Brydon and Edward Richard Brydon were NOT Catholic. They were Protestant. Edward Richard Brydon's daughter Rhoda F. J. Brydon was converted to Catholicism when she married to an Irish Catholic Charles Murphy. The John Brydon family apparently migrated to Louisiana and ended up settling in Garrett Co., Maryland around 1855-60. In about 1866, Edward and wife moved to Baltimore, Maryland.
