I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Homer Alexander EMPEY which was taken at the Thompson Studio in Camden, New York. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Homer noted as 6 months old at the time it was taken. In addition to his name and age, someone has also written "weighs 25 lbs" and "Thelma EMPEY'S Father" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Homer and his family: Homer EMPEY b. 9 Jan 1889 in Florence, NY to parents Livingston E. EMPEY (b 21 Sept 1854 in Florence, NY) and Alice M. COMINS (b. 1863). Homer died 9 Aug 1945 in Camden, NY. I am hoping to locate someone from this EMPEY Family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family.
