Seeking information on Martin DumphyDunphy of Utica. He is probably of Kilkenny, Ireland as that is where his sister Catherine immigrated from about 1849. She died single in the Oneida Co. Poorhouse (b. ca 1811) sometime after 1876 when she was age 65. Martin is in the 7th Ward 1860, age 54 with wife Mary age 55 and dau. May 26, 7th Ward in 1870, wife Mary, both born Ireland. I've not done any work on this family yet. I'm trying to determine if he is somehow kin to my McGoughs or McTaveys of Utica. I have a note that I can't find at the moment that he was a witness to a Naturalization of either of these families. I will be working on the Dumphys very soon, but thought perhaps someone out there may know Martin. Deanna
