Hi Jan, I have some questions for you. I am in Portland, OR, which is just about as far from Oneida Co, NY as you can get. <G> I have been doing genealogy for over 35 years and both my parents have ancestors from the same place. I have researched in Salt Lake several times as well. I have just not had good luck in Oneida County and have used the websites, written to libraries etc. I hope to be able to do research in person after I retire in a few years. None of these people made it into history or biography books but some lived there for up to 40 years.
