    3. Dear Oneida County researchers, I must admit either my frustration or my naiveté in trying to use the Sampubco system to find the volume and page number of a document to order either from them or directly from the appropriate Oneida County record source. I printed out the order form to obtain a marriage license. The search and order instructions are clear but do not work. I selected New York but, in the list of counties, only Cayuga can be opened. Cannot get to Oneida which is not "clickable". Looking at Cayuga, all one gets is an alpha listing of grooms and brides. All are in Vol.1 and no page numbers are listed. Without reference to time periods how does know the appropriate volume number is one or sixteen? Can anyone explain to an 85 year old how the system works? Am trying to find a marriage in Oneida County around 1810-1820. Thank you. ALAN

    3. All that is indexed on Sampubco for NY marriages is Cayuga County Volume 1 for the year 1908. NY did not keep vital records in 1810-1820. A church record would be your only hope there.
