I am looking for data on( NUEL/ NUWELL/ NOEL /NOWELL) JONES born around 1785 probably near Albany in Rensselaer Co of today. I found in the 1860 ? City directory on line on site for Oneida Co .JONES, Newell N., clerk 93 Genesee, bds John R. Jones’. I can find no cemetery information, no death information, if Baptist ie church information. IF this is the father of my NOYES JONES I would like to learn that. :>) I have court records and one census record that shows NOEL JONES b ie 1785 lived Petersburg, Rensselaer Co NY had NOYES JONES 1809. NOEL JONES ma Susannah Last name not known JONES. Anyone with data I would appreciate knowledge. I suspect he died not much later since he would be near 85 years of age. I suspect JOHN R JONES is son?? I read of the two JOHN R JONES one is from WALES that would not be my line. This family has been in USA since 1740s and before. Where do I find Probate records?
