Alice, Have you tried contacting the town historian? She may have some information on the church. Unity hall still stands and has become quite a busy community center with a lot of activities ongoing year round. Many moons ago when I was in Jr. High I belonged to our school historical society and one of our field trips was to The church and as one of my classmates lived in Mappa Hall we got to tour that also. It's quite an impressive home, kind of resembles Graceland. About the only thing I can recall about it is a humongous fireplace/stove in the ground level. I think the Unitarian church records; those early ones are in TREE TALKS. I could have sworn I had them here at home, but haven't located them yet. When and if I do, you'll all be the first to know!
