Good evening, What are the Catholic churches that were in or around Rome 1850 to 1900? I am looking for William Lynch who was in that area according to census of the 1860-1870. His children were still with him, at least Rose was in the last census. Rose was married in Pleasant Hill, MO 1880, and I find both of her brothers in Missouri at that time, but not her father. Rose and the brothers were married in the Catholic church, with Rose's children baptism also on record in Pleasant Hill......So I am looking for William in Rome, with the thought that Rose went to live with the brothers when he possibly died in Rome. William Lynch I have found is as the same as looking for John Smith......very popular names. thank you for any help you can advise. Jacqueline from Oregon
