Actually, I'm not related to these Smiths. I am connected thru Abigail's first husband, Jared Olcott. Their son, Edward Olcott married Esther Brower. Esther's sister, Mary Ann Brower married William Martin. William Martin's father (also named William Martin) had a father Ebenezer Martin Sr. who is my 4th great grand parent. So what does that make me??? I think it makes me unrelated! hahaha Sorry about that. On the Oneida Web site there is a Town of Lee Census of 1814. Abel, Daniel, Ephraim, Levi, and Thomas. Abigail's and her husband, Mr. Smith named their 2nd son Ephraim. Naming the 2nd son after the father was very common. Often the 1st male was named after the wife's father. An educated guess might be that Abigail's husband was Ephraim Smith. Now do research on that and work backwards to see if he was married to Abigail. At this point that's my guess.
