Hello! I am new to this list and would like to know if there is anyone that can help me place a photographer in Oneida county. I have a very old photo that I believe is my grandfather, William Floyd. He was born Aug. 27, 1858 in Westernville, Oneida Cty, NY. This photo is unfortunately not written on but the photographer has signed it on the front. The name is in fancy script but it appears to be a.curacleau or a.cruacpeau or maybe a.c. macpeau or a.c. macleau. Anyway that is fairly close! Are there perhaps business directories that someone can check and tell me if a photographer by a name similar to one of those would have been in Oneida cty during the 1850's? Or just what years the photographer may have been working in the Westernville/Rome area would be helpful. Thank you in advance and I hope there is someone out there that can help me out!
