    3. The trouble with Thomases in that area is that there was a great influx of Welsh sometime around there. Mine starts with Levi Thomas, who arrived with a new bride in time for the 1800 census. He lived in Paris and then went into Utica where he died in 1848. His children were Salmon, Levi, Margery, Trumbull Dorrance, George, Eliza Jane, Mary Oley and Amos Hull. I have only really researched the Amos Hull Thomas line (mine) though I know that Salmon and Trumbull D. went out to Delavan Wisc. Levi the son moved to NYC, and George married twice, the third time to Sarah Kellogg (this line is mentioned in the Kellogg genealogy, but with a mistake in the wife of the first Levi). I don't know the names of George's children; he was buried in 1887 in Utica. Thanks for getting in touch -- you never know, if we fill in that gap -- Mary At 17:49 14.6.99 EDT, you wrote: >I have Edward John Thomas, b 1 Oct 1853 in Paris, NY. He married and died in >PA.
