Good Afternoon~ I am looking for connections to Daniel HALE b.abt 1780 in Brookfield, MA, moved to VT and was in Florence, Oneida Co, by the 1820 census. His daughter Fanny Hale b. 1805(my ggg grandmother) was listed as being b. in VT, and his other daughter, Ruth was b. 1809. Fanny m. James SERGEANT in 1824, and Ruth m. James's 1st cousin, Wells Ely SERGEANT. They lived in New Berlin, Chenango Co. I have no idea how it was these two Sergeant men met and married these 2 Hale women. That is what I am trying to find out. Daniel m. Polly BARTLETT in Sept 1804 probably in Waterford, VT. They then moved to NY. I am positive this is my family as the girls were born the right times. Daniel was s/o Thomas HALE and Ruth HARDY of Brookfield, MA. Polly was d/o Eli BARTLETT and Mary HILL , and was b. Oct 30, 1778. She m David Eveleth first in 1800. Are these towns still in existence in Oneida Co? Do these names sound familiar to anyone?
