Hi all, The relationship to Charlemagne really isn't that far fetched. We probably all are. According to a lecture from a former pres. of our genealogical society statistically we all must be related. If you figure you have two parents, four grandparents, then 8, then 16, then 32 etc. it doesn't take that long to get up into very large numbers. Eventually you get to a number that is larger than the population on the earth at that time in history. So we all can't have unique sets of ancestors. And if you have a European ancestor you could probably trace them back to Charlemagne and others. Now the proof and original documents might be a little harder! For me I would like to find my Oliver Hazard Perry Carman born in Utica, N.Y. in 1834. Anyone know of him? Carol Carman CCarman114@aol.com
