Hopefully this will be addressed further by someone more knowledgeable....... The Iriquois was not a tribe, but confederation of central NY tribes, including the Cayugas, Oneidas, Onondagas, Senecas, Tuscororas, & Mohawks. I believe there may have been one or two more. The Oneida were the only tribe not to take up arms against the colonists in the Rev War. There was also the Algonquin tribe in the lower Hudson/Manhattan region. The Delaware & Huron tribes also ventured into NY in the colonial era....... Dan
