Audrey's call for a more comprehensive Oneida Co database is a certainly a good one. Much of this data is - or could be - available at the Oneida Co Genweb site. It would seem better to have a coordinated effort. I know the genweb site would relish getting this type of info online. It would be preferable not to duplicate efforts. The contact person for townships is good too. I have often thought it would be an ideal project for local schools history depts to involve students in active research to be placed on county genwebs - perhaps as an extra credit or independent study project.
