They had 2 children, Lucinda Lee (b1807) and Mary (Polly) Rogers (b1812 in Duanesburgh). I have them as members of the first Baptist Church of Whitestown in 1813. Lucinda Lee married Matthew Morgan of the Morgan banking family -- I have extensive records on them. Mary (Polly) married Charles Monroe Sr.(b. Scotland) in about 1828 in Duanesburgh, NY. Charles Monroe, Jr was born in Duanesburgh in 1830: Robert Lee Monroe was born in Utica in 1832. I have extensive records of them living in Utica between 1832 and 1850 from the Utica City Directories. I have indication from the same directories that Charles, Sr died in around 1845. Mary and sons then moved to NY City. I have other extensive records since my direct line comes from Robert Lee. My Holy Grail is Charles who was a stonemason by trade -- looking for his death record, burial location, place of birth in Scotland, etc. I do know he was naturalized in 1828 in Albany -- but the records don't give enough vital information. I have visited Utica and done on-site work on two occasions as well as consulting with the local historical society -- they told me the local public cemetery was relocated and records sketchy at best (none for him). Am getting ready to go to Scotland at the end of May and would really like to know where he was born. Have checked many available records (wills, surrogates, etc) to no avail.
