I know I *should* know this, but I don't -- which TOWN is Rome located in? Also, would anyone have any suggestions about how to get information about past elected officials in Rome? I have an EVANS ancestor who, acoording to hie obit, was elected to the Board of Supervisors of Rome in 1878 and 1879. It also said he was chief of the Rome Fire Department in 1879. He is also listed as a member of Rome Council 150, Rome Lodge #223, the Rome Lodge od Odd Fellows, and the F. & A.M. -- anyone heard of any of these? Thanks! MArsha
