Hi Group~ I am looking for Daniel HALE and his wife, Polly BARTLETT who lived in Florence, and then, were listed in the 1830 & 1840 NY census's living in CAMDEN, Oneida Co. If there is anyone on this list who can try and find any sort of reference to this Daniel Hale, I will be willing to pay for some research on this couple. I am trying to find out if the Fanny Hale b. 1804, Ruth Hale b. 1809 and Daniel Hale Jr b. 1814 that were listed in the LDS IGI (and listed as children of Daniel Hale and Polly Bartlett)were my ancestor's and this was their line. The above Daniel descended from Thomas HALE and Ruth HARDY from Brookfield, MA. Thomas was a LT in the Revolutionary War and is buried in MA. He had a Will mentioning Daniel, in the Descendant's of Thomas Hale of Newbury, MA. The line only goes to Daniel and Polly(Bartlett) HALE and not their Children, however it does say they moved to Oneida co , NY. My Fanny Hale(my ggg) m. James SERGEANT in 1824, and her sister Ruth m. Wells ELY SERGEANT, There is no, further info at this time on Daniel Hale Jr that was also mentioned, but I do find a Daniel Hale b. later in the are m. to a EMILY CHIDSAY(sp?). I know from personal Sergeant History that these girls father's name was Daniel Hale, the mother was not listed. I am not positive, but I believe they were either Unitarian or Baptists(possibly even Seventh Day), although I have personally never seen any evidence to prove it, (but I know other branches of my Sergeant's were Seventh Day Baptists). I have one record that says Ruth was born in VT and another Fanny was b. in MA, so if Daniel did spend time in VT, I don't think it was long. Daniel also had a brother, Thomas Hale, who lived in Waterford, VT and shows up in some census's there. I did find a Daniel Hale in VT in 1790, but it was in Caledonia Co. Can I get this book on Pioneers of Camden Co through the LDS FHC? Thanks in advance for any answers, Sincerely, Penny Kresl ----- Original Message ----- From: Grier Ingebretsen <grier@uswest.net> To: <NYONEIDA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 25, 1999 12:13 PM Subject: Re: [NYONEIDA-L] Camden, NY book > Thanks for mentioning this again- I was not on the list on > 6/19/99 but will certainly make an effort to track this book down > now. > Patti W-I > > Luni5@aol.com wrote: > > > > Hi Kathy, > > > > I just wanted to thank you for the hint you posted back on 6/19/99 about > > the book "Pioneer History of Camden, Oneida Co.,NY".
