    3. Phil What census years are you looking for? They are public domain and are available all over the country not just in New York State. There is a index to all of the census from 1790 through 1860 and/or 70 and for some 1880, 1900 - 1910- 1920. Some specifics would be helpful. Let us know what you want and maybe someone can do the index for you - the best way is the do-it- yourself rather than blanketing the public servants for it. They are getting justifibly touchy about these things and so the records offices are charging more ane more for their services, and a lot are just refusing to do any searches at all. The one I work for is over run with blanket requests and does not hurry to get them done. I would be glad to help you and I have access to most NY Federal Census index books and a lot of the census itself and can tell you how to access them on your own.The state census is another matter but can be accessed through the facility of the Family History Centers, nationwide, no problem. The joy of this genealogical chase to me is in the discoveries I make for myself. Agnes Cloninger >From: >To: NYONEIDA-L@rootsweb.com > > hi groups , I am wondering something ........
