My grandfather was born there and he and my grandmother were married there. It is approx. 10 miles southwest (from what I can remember) of Boonville, NY, maybe 45 miles North of Rome. I looked around the Rome area on the map and cannot find anything similar to Stuben. There is a STANWIX just outside Rome. I had an ancester who died at Trenton, Oneida County, NY. However, today the town name is Barneveld with Trenton written in parenthesis underneath. I checked the alpha listing for NYS - no Stuben or Steuben.
