There is a STEUBEN COUNTY in New York State which is south of Rochester bordering Pennsylvania. I looked around the Rome area on the map and cannot find anything similar to Stuben. There is a STANWIX just outside Rome. I had an ancester who died at Trenton, Oneida County, NY. However, today the town name is Barneveld with Trenton written in parenthesis underneath. I checked the alpha listing for NYS - no Stuben or Steuben.
