Florence & Michele There is a Township of Steuben in Oneida County. It's bordered by Western, Floyd, Trenton, Remsen, and Boonville. There are no "towns" or "villages" within the township nor any postoffices. The village of Barneveld is in the town of Trenton. It used to be called Trenton but that name caused too many mail problems with Trenton New Jersey so it was changed back to it's original name, which originally was Oldenbarneveld, from it's Dutch originators.
